The first one is abercrombie which uses classic cool theme and caters to age group of 9 to 14. The next is Hollister Co with So Cal theme catering to age group of 16 to 25. Under this it also offers personal body care line. The third is RUEHL No. 925 which uses Greenwich Village as its theme. This line is meant for age group of 25 to 35. Leather purses and bags for women also come under this brand. The latest concept from Abercrombie is Gilly Hicks using Down Under theme. It consists of lounge wear and underwear for women. It came out with exclusive garments like logo T-shirts, cargo pants, and accessories which became a style symbol and a must- have in the wardrobe of young people. The stores too became an attractive place to visit with blaring popular music and trained sales staff.
When we talk of fashion and fashion clothing the first name that comes into our mind is Abercrombie. One of the oldest fashion houses in the world Abercrombie had got its fame for designing some rugged sports and camping gear wear way back in 1890s. The founder of the Abercrombie brand was David Abercrombie who started Abercrombie Co. By 1900 Abercrombie was joined by Ezra Fitch and became Abercrombie & Fitch. Till 1960s Abercrombie & Fitch was producing hunting and fishing apparels and gears. Its high quality product was extremely popular with men. Some famous names like Teddy Roosevelt, Charles Lindbergh, and Ernest Hemingway sported Abercrombie Fitch brand. Hunting as a sport lost its popularity by 1960s and Abercrombie & Fitch had to recreate its product line. After a few setbacks, by 1992 Abercrombie & Fitch bounced back with a complete new clothing line which appealed to the younger generation and young adults.
Abercrombie and Fitch offers accessories like bags, belts, bikinis, footwear, and hats. Abercrombie & Fitch is more than a fashion statement; it is a life style adopted by the young generation. It has stores in Canada and coming up with European outlets. They have millions of customers ready to buy their apparels with sophisticated Abercrombie logo.
As with men Abercrombie comes up with a range of women apparels catering to the young generation. It has womens coats, dress, hoodies, jeans, pants, polo, T-shirts, tops, and skirts. The jeans and skirts have the typical rugged and worn out looks. The jeans are low waist with skinny fit or flare.
The clothing line is currently one of the most popular brands out there. Unfortunate for most, it is also one of the more expensive lines. Parents of teenagers and children know all too well that their kids are oblivious to the costly nature of most fads.
